Patellar Tenodnitis

Patellar Tendonitis-also referred to as “jumper’s knee” is an inflammatory condition of the patellar tendon. This will often flare up with changes in activity such as increase in mileage, speed, jumping, or hills. There will be sharp localized pain below the patella during exercise. Acupuncture, rest, and ice are a good combination to treat this condition, as well as massage on the quadriceps to correct biomechanical imbalances.
