Rotator Cuff Tear

Rotator Cuff Tear-this is a tear in one of four tendons of the rotator cuff. These four muscles are the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis, and the teres. Their tendons stabilize the glenohumeral joint of the shoulder and are responsible for extension, rotation, and abduction of the arm. Injury usually occurs from stabilizing the body from a fall or overhead lifting resulting in a complete or partial tear.  Acupuncture and physical therapy are fully capable of treating both.
